No official archaeological excavation has ever been carried out on the Argimusco plateau, but from the findings from the surrounding areas it can be assumed that the site has been anthropized since the Bronze Age.

In this period of protohistory it is very probable that the Argimusco plateau was used as a real natural sanctuary, that is a place where sacred rituals and cults were held linked to the deities of the Earth but also of Heaven.
